Default Model 36 and model 15-3 2 inch barrels

Hi everyone. I wanted to get some information on years of manufacture and value. Model 36 serial number J173041 with box and 15-3 is serial number 8K83104. Both are in very good condition. Thanks again.

Look like 1973-74 on the Chief's Special and 1975 on the M15.

I have no clue on value, as I haven't bought either in years. Look at Gunbroker for the sale price on similar models.

Can't say on the nickel Chiefs Special, but I would think $500-$550 on the Combat Masterpiece with the short barrel. It's a nice one.

I would guess about $500 for the model 36 (since you have the box and people go a little gaga over that) and $550-600 on the model 15, to a motivated private buyer.

Your 15 looks super nice! I wanted 1 badly, and was looking for a year or more. It did not happen. Did pick up a 10-5 RB snub, and a 66-2, 2'5" to compensate. Bob

Agree on the $500-$600 for the 15-3 but I'd add a couple more Benjamin's on the Nickel 36 no dash w/ Box; at $700-$800.

Really like your Model 15 with the 2" tube. I have one like it and always marvel at the dark, rich bluing. The Model 36 is nice as well, and on my want list. (Photo: My Combat Masterpiece wearing Altamont bonded ivory with S&W insignia.) I gave $500.00 for my 15 with a set of Magnas and a set of Targets thrown in. Not every seller is that generous however. P.S. my son would agree with your choice of football teams as well.
