K-22
Thought you all might like to see my 6" (1948 - 5 screw) K-22. Got it correct this time.

Nice, but watch that the metal hanger doesn't scratch the barrel!

Hey Chief, get some tubing and put on those hooks. Nice pair, and those grips are great.

Beautiful K-22. IMO the greatest 22 handguns ever manufactured

It doesn't look like a K 22 to me.

How do you know it shipped in 1948. I don't think you stock are original.

I'm guessing its not a M53 because I don't see the firing pin button. Its most likely a M19 and there's a fair chance it shipped with those grips.

I guess my thread didn't print too well either, those pictures are the same Model 19-4 (CHP Commemorative) I somehow printed the wrong picture twice! I've tried to delete the thread but for some reason I can only edit it. That's how I got the same picture twice. Some of us OLD guys may never get this computer stuff right. Weatherby - you got it right! Thanks to Weatherby's assistance, I have the correct picture posted now. Also, those metal pegs I use on the peg board when hanging my revolvers for pictures are aluminum but I am still careful not to scratch anything.
Dick, It is a K-22 I purchased from the Gun Library at the Reno Cabela's a few years ago and it came with some after market grips. Those on it now I purchased from Smith and Wesson. Here's a picture of the original grips.
