Default Tyler T-grip slow to ship

Hello all, I'm new to the Forum!

I ordered three T-grips from Tyler - one for S&W M1917, two for Colt (long) D-frame guns. My check was cashed more than a month ago, but I have not received my merchandise.

Can anyone tell me if Tyler is normally this slow to ship? The website claims shipping time of "approximately 2-3 weeks." I have called, but I get the answering machine every time, and no one has called back yet.

Thanks!

They will deliver and you will be glad you ordered. Yes, they are slow. Your order is safe. They have never failed me..........eventually.

In my (limited) experience with them delivery is certain, but spotty. Sometimes very fast, Most times sort of casual. My guess is they produce in batches and if they don't have exactly what you ordered you wait until they produce it.

To my knowledge, the modern Tyler company is a much smaller outfit than their very professional and elaborate website would lead you to believe. So it can take a while to have ready to ship what you need if it is not a high-volume type.

This has been typical for Tyler for, oh, about 40 years. It is a small outfit, and by "small", I mean, like, 1 guy. They deliver -- but slowly. Not much inventory on hand, mostly made-to-order. When you order you are, essentially, getting in line.

Patience is indeed a virtue when ordering from Tyler, but the order always shows up.

I bought one for my J-frame from a trading post online, and got in less than a week- but they have a small inventory on hand, and probably only for popular models
