Default Range report-New pre-model 10

I took the pre-model 10 to the range today. I'm very happy with it. I also tried out a new pair of reading/safety glasses. The glasses are 0.75+ reading glasses that are also safety glasses. The front sight is clear and the target is slightly less blurry than with no correction. I shot two targets at 7 yards. Thirty rounds in the first one, eighteen in the second. I had two FTFs, one in the first cylinder, and one in the third. Both fired the second time. Very smooth trigger pull.
I also took three other Smiths, two for the first time. A 4" 19-3, and a 5904. I got the 5904 in a trade for a 10-6 earlier this week. Both shot great.

That'll do to ride the river with. In fact all three of 'em have the aura of solid service guns.

Have you checked the strain screw yet? I was thinking about this a few days ago, and in the small sample of Smiths that I've owned over the years, half were found with the strain screw shortened.

Nice looking pre-10. Good shooting as well.
