Went to LGS to pick up my '59 Model 14 (no dash) today.......
I had this one on hold for a few weeks. I was able to go by this afternoon. I know I need to be in some sort of rehab program. But, a 10-8 and 67 (no dash) followed me home as well!!!
Best,
Charles

We're all just enablers here. And every time we show pics of a nice gun, we're making some other member hit the "buy it now" button before they have time to think.

Man, I thought I had a serious case of "the disease", but I think you have it worse!!! In this case, though, worse is better. BTW, those are some nice looking revolvers you picked up. Congrats!!

The 14 is from a police seized lot complete with a blood stained muzzle.
The 10 & 67 were police trade-ins from ,according to the clerk, the Department of Public Safety. The Ga. D.P.S. encompasses the State Patrol, Motor Carrier Compliance Unit (MCCU), and the Capitol Police. G.S.P. never carried .38s. MCCU did not exist when these were made ( 1974 & !985). Those duties were under the Department of Transportation back then. That leaves the Capitol Police which is possible though unlikely.
My best guess is they are from a university D.P.S. I suspect I'll sell one and letter the other...... We'll see!!!
Best,
Charles

Ur post said you went "by" but you went buy! Nice. I hear treatment doesn't take the first couple times anyway.

Well, I hope so. My temporary bottoming out, just aggravated two-bit cowboy's addiction last weekend.
So life goes on even in the S&W addiction pool. The guns just get passed around.

I also own a 14 no dash from 1959. I don't shoot a whole lot due to its near perfect condition but without a doubt it is the most accurate handgun I own. I have 2 other model 14's and they just can't hold a candle to their older brother. You have the smith and wesson disease bad,I thought I was bad with usually 3 guns a month, you top me with 3 a day!!

Trip to LGS
You don't need rehab, you need to be committed, for a serious stretch of time, many years I suspect. Just to ease your mind while you are "away" I will be most happy to be the caretaker of your toys.
