Default How many of us have siblings?

To qualify the guns must be identical in their features, and within 1000 in regards to their serial number. I only have twins to start this thread with.

I found the first Model 10 no dash 2 inch round butt gun a couple of months ago. Yesterday I stumbled upon its twin in similar condition. The diamond magnas match and the gun is in very nice shape. They are both 4 screw guns dating 1960. I hope the new one shoots as well as the first one I bought. The lyrics "reunited and it feels so good" come to mind please share your siblings!!

44 Magnums, S166292 and S166293, shipped as a pair with consecutive serial numbers (and incidentally, consecutive assembly numbers which are really rare) to Camfour, Inc., Springfield, MA on July 12, 1956. Cost for the pair was $176.00 ($10.00 charge for consecutive serial numbers). The pair was ordered on July 10, 1956. The custom case is by Huey.

Click on the photo for a closer look at this pair of great 44s!

K-22's K222, K618, K855, K857, K861

I don't have access to pictures this weekend. K857 became a Kay Chuk and I have not lettered it to learn its factory configuration when shipped.

Do 'fraternal twins' count for honorable mention? Here's a pair of round and square butt circa 1905 produced .38 Hand Ejector Targets. The round butt has unknown manufacturer but period original round-to-square grips (handwritten WW1 stateside reservist name and date inside). These two are 929 apart. They are both pre-5-screw 4-screw target frames.
61266 is square butt.
62195 is round butt.

The two I have are consecutive S/N ending in 0044 and 0045.

S&W 44 specials, Heritage.
Only difference is one I have shot quite a bit and the other is as it came from the factory.
Had the one I haven't shot lettered....
They only made a 160 of them the letter said.

Prototype Model 66s, K949138 and K949140, built in May 1970 as part of a run to 100 revolvers to test the tooling for the stainless Combat Magnum. Each kept in the factory collection for five years and shipped to G. T. Distributors, Rossville, GA in 1975. Each revolver is in its original silver box.

Click on the photos for a much closer look!

Does the Kay Chuk have a frame mounted firing pin? If so, that's a dead giveaway it started life as a 22 rimfire.

I’ve got a consecutive serial numbered pair of 27-2 snubs. They came with original everything, including the cardboard numbered shipping boxes and this custom case. I don’t think I could get any closer twins unless I cloned one

Default My Favorite Siblings & Their Other Brothers

I hope these two siblings are welcome here:
Reg Magnums 2635 & 2636...

Here's a family photo of them with their 18 Other Brothers...

Butte Police Dept. Butte, Montana. About 1940.
They're packing 20 Registered Magnums from the same August 18, 1937 shipment.
I never have been able to answer the question of who got which gun.

Default No twins, still looking

I picked up a 1905 3rd change target several years ago. I had the opportunity to enter a ship date request with Roy, and here is his response: "Ray, 38 M&P serial 174263. You have your choice as it is a double number gun, now go find its mate. This serial number was shipped first in August 1911 and the second gun was shipped in September 1911." Good luck. So I actually have a twin but not a set of twins. How do you ever find that needle.

Doug, I appreciate the pair of RMs even more than when you got them, and I'll bet you do too.
I was thinking that maybe you had gotten 18 more!
Lets hear it for the Butte PD, well dressed and well outfitted,eh?

Hmmm. You made me stop to think. I got the 36-7 from a forum member (either in July or August) and traded for the baby at the Laramie gun show last month. I didn't make the "grand" connection until I was setting up my table at the Rawlins, Wyo., gun show last weekend -- a bit slow on the uptake, I guess! Now I just need J2928 for the middle generation, ya'?
