Default Ford's 44 special project 2nd gun

Here's the second model 44 all done up. This old boy was REALLY messed up. Original nickel flaking off with some rust and pits in places. Must have draw filed out the bad places cause it's slicker than a baby's hiney now.

I like that. What I really like is the fact they left the pitting visible on the area the stocks will cover. That way we really get an idea of what the gun looked like in its "before" condition.

You like them shiny ones, don't you?

I'll echo another member's question: What kind of front sight is that? The style looks familiar, but I just can't place it. Didn't Keith have a gun with that kind of front sight on it at one time...or am I thinking of someone else?

Is it a Bowen sight? I mean, I know Ford's did the work on the gun, but that sight just puts me in mind of Bowen. Took me a few minutes to think of it.

Had it made up to mimmick Elmer's. He liked barrel bands and so do I. They even made the finish frosted on the blade. Watchdog you are right that grip strap is a good representation of what the whole gun looked like.
