...or maybe change the "game" that you're hunting.

Find a way to become broke, or at least financially disadvantaged.
Do a home roof replacement, a new HVAC system, replace a blown car engine.
THEN - deals will literally show up at your doorstep.
I know this.

Boredom is a result of stagnation, which comes from a lack of variety or options. If I were a deer hunter I could never be in a blind or tree perch. Boring! I would study tracking and hunting stealth and use that on a hunt. There will be no boring hunts if you do that.

Maybe I should have been a sniper. Gosh never occurs to in 30 years.

I was thinking along the same thing, but not so deals will pop up.

My thinking was, if someone is bored in the gun enthusiast community, that got to mean they are spoiled.

Perhaps you have been too intensive?

I know I could never get bored with guns, but I also am restricted to a very modest budget that doesn't allow me excess of anything. So there is always exciting things to obtain, just don't have the funds to pursue them.

Gosh, it must be awful being bored.

Maybe you should move on to shooting them. Might spice things up.

Default GETTING BORED

Some times I agree and then lament that I have too many things and should really consider selling them off.....but I have not succumbed to that just yet......keep looking something will come up that you never knew you wanted. I picked up two .38 sw post Terriers, model 32-1s this past Friday. They were never on my radar but when they popped up on the local gun board I figured it couldn’t hurt to go see them and then to see that they had hardly been shot if at all were in the original boxes with wax paper, but with missing tools it just seemed to good to pass up. They are very close in serial number off by about 100 so they seemed like a decent deal at 800 for the pair........if you ever really find that you are bored you will know it and you will move on......I have let a couple of other hobbies go such as boating and remote control airplanes because I simply got to that point that there was not joy......I think there is still enough joy in gun collecting for me, but when the time comes I will either sell off or simply give them all away to the kids and grand kids. Good luck with your decision.

I tried what the ad once said, you know, "reach out, reach out and touch someone". Ended up getting arrested.....

Date a crazy girl. Then you will long for the days when your life was boring.

There is an old saying; "You're not bored, you're boring." Ouch!

I am guessing you mean you aren't finding any new and exciting firearms in you normal haunts so maybe you are correct .You should go on a gun cation a vacation to a place just to check out the gun shops .I got a local guy that will work with me on transfers ( for a small fee of course ) .he knows me and has run a dozen background checks so he isn't worried as long as I buy anything from another ffl of course .I find somewhere that has a good assortment of dealers and I get me room and go stay a few days and visit the local pawn shops and gun stores ect I truly enjoy it .Have made some good contacts with guys the say as long as I am willing to go thru ffl dealers they are happy to work with me( for a small fee of course) .So take yourself a gun cation man I do it all the time .No it's not the cheapest way to buy guns but you have to figure in the fun factor ,it amazes me how many people will spend money to watch a movie that usually isn't that good then balk at the idea of paying a gun dealer a fee for his help acquiring a firearm that they want and can enjoy for years ,we realy need to look at the fun factor more .
