Welcome to the forums from the Wiregrass! I believe you have a .22/32 Heavy Frame Target revolver that shipped before WWI. Please post some pictures.

The .22/.32 Heavy Frame Target Model was introduced in the catalog in 1915 at about s/n 160,000. According to the SCS&W. Does yours have a round butt or a square butt?

A .22 with SN 236177 is almost certainly a Heavy Frame Target model. It would likely have shipped in the late 1916-early 1917 period. Pictures would help.
