Default 2" model of 1903 year of manfacture?

My brother was just given a 2" blued model of 1903 in .32 long from his wife's uncle. Can anyone give me the year of manufacture?
Serial # 541750.
Thank you.

A little later than that, I think. Prewar shipments of the .32 HE serial numbers didn't get above 535000 (round number, actually a little less), though it is possible numbered frames were produced and stored. Serial numbers near your brother's new gun were being shipped in 1950, and that's probably when his gun was shipped as well.

A very sought after post war 32 hand ejector: no longer a Model of 1903 and is correctly identified as a "Model 32 HE Post War Transitional I Frame", with 6 screws.

The differences are the 4 line address on the right front side of frame and the post war 3rd type post war improved sliding bar hammer block safety.
