I have a friend that is a class act gunsmith, I asked him to cut the barrel down to 4" and install a Baughman style front sight to bring the front sight in-line with the Wondersight rear. He did a beautiful job. I got the Brazilian from a friend who got it from a friend that had already had a pretty decent re-finish done. About the only roll marks that are hard to see is the Brazilian Coat or Arms, about all that is clearly visible is 1937. The old thing shoots great and is one of my daily carry pieces, I've been after the Culinas to get something that will go with the tiger stripe maple stocks I have on my muzzleloaders. We use a solution called Aqua Fortis to bring out the stripes, John puts his in the oven...I am very happy with the results.
