Correct stocks for .38 HE?
I have a 5 screw, .38 special HE on a K frame with 4" barrel. It lacks the Made in the USA on the right side and the s/n is 919xx. Can someone post a picture of the correct stocks for this? Thanks

Serial number 91,000 puts it in the first decade of the 20th Century. Assuming it has the square butt, the stocks would look like this:

And if it should be a round butt, it could be the same wooden style per special order, but would have come standard with black hard rubber stocks with the S&W logo at the top. (Sorry, no picture handy)

SN 919xx would date its probable shipment at 1906-07. If it has the rounded butt, it would be a Model 1902, and with a square butt, a Model of 1905. Most of the 1902s are seen with the black hard rubber grips, and replicas of that style abound. The "MADE IN USA" stamp was not used until 1922. Out of curiosity, what does the caliber stamping on the barrel say?
