Letter of Authenticity Question
I have a beautiful .32 Hand Ejector, Third Model that I just received the letter from Mr. Jinks about.
My revolver's barrel serial number is matching to the rest of the revolver's parts including grips and box, and is 4.25" long.
Mr. Jinks' letter says records indicate shipped with 3.25" barrel. There are no marks on the frame indicating the revolver was returned to the factory for rework.
What would be the proper course of action to resolve this issue?

The records are not perfect. People back then made typos just like today. If I remember correctly, 4.25 inches was the standard length barrel for 32 Hand Ejectors so I would chalk it up to a typographical error in the original records, especially if everything else is correct (finish, calibre etc.).

The gun was available with a 3.25” barrel, so unfortunately it’s impossible to be certain whether it was a simple typo or there might be a mistake in the shipping records or elsewhere.
You could try sending a PM to Don Mundell (Club Gun Fan), who works with Mr. Jinks, and ask him how to best do this. You may have to send in some pictures of the barrel, barrel serial etc.
PS: Bill posted while I typed. Do what he says

Sometimes the records are waaaay off. My 1960 M48-0 with a 8 3/8" bbl. came back as a 1960 6" K-38. Mr. Jinks re researched it and that is what it said. Obviously not a 6" K-38, but that's what the records said. Big Larry

My bet is that Roy made a typo and hit the "3" instead of the "4". Ed.

UPDATE: With the help of Doc44 I was able to contact Mr. Jinks by email. Mr. Jinks apologized for the typo and promised to send out a corrected letter that day. We are in a fine community here.

Bravo.
Would you mind sharing the serial # and ship date for our data bases, either here or by private message?

I would not feel comfortable giving that information out randomly.
