Saw a gun that did interest me 1950
It was a Model of 1950 and marked 38 Sp. Fixed sight about 4 inch and think it was nickle. Had never seen one. Any info is needed. I may try to purchase it tomorrow. Not real keen on fixed sight guns but it was a decent looking revolver.

What's being asked for it?
You can have the same thing with target sights. Look for a 5 screw, 38 Combat Masterpiece. Not likely to find one nickel plated however.

They are the 38-44 Heavy Duty fixed sights (Pre Model 20) and 38-44 Outdoorsman target sights (Pre Model 23).
It would be a Model of 1950 38-44 Heavy Duty if it was an N frame; became the Model 20 after 1957.
If it was a 38 K frame, it was actually a Model of 1948 if it had the short action of the 1950 models.

Except for the stocks that is the gun N frame and marked Model of 1950 38 Special... What kind of value would you put on one in say 85% or so ? . It was in surprisingly good condition. Going to be getting a look at it soon if it is still there. And gonna take a look at the Model 69 if it is still there.
