Default S&W Brazillian .45 1917?

I have a M1917 .45 DA with the Brazillian crest. The frame has been datet to 1918 but the cylinder is ser. # 2082xx. The gun has no US Army markings. Can anyone tell me what year the cylinder is from. As I understand the Brazil models were contracted for in 1937 (that date is in the crest) but how do I have a much earlier frame with a cylinder which must be much later?? It has impport markings under the grip, frame and bbl. match, it is that grayish color, Parkarizing ??

There were two batches of Brazilian 1917s. The first shipment was in the '30s and they were built on the current N frames of the time. These had a square notch rear sight. Post WW II, S&W sold a second batch of Brazilians that were built using a bunch of WW I vintage parts. These had the older dimple rear sight.

As stated some of the Brazilians were made up from some old inventory frames. I have a 3 Brazilians. Only one came to me with a matching number on the cylinder. Did a thread about the non matching cylinder numbers. No unusual. Most likely from Brazilian armorers using parts they had or salvaged. Mine all function fine. I use them for project guns anyway.
