Default 357 magnum 6-1/2" barrel, nickel

Thanks to fellow enabler S&W Fan, I was able to obtain this lovely .357 Magnum. Shipped in April 1955, so it's only a few weeks older than I am. It was a little (lot) dirty when I got it the other day, but it cleaned up nicely. The stocks do not number, they have 125305 stamped on them so it would appear that they are from the same period. I have wanted a nickel 27 for a while, and in my mind this is even better. It is not a pristine example, but I intend to shoot it so I don't care. I'm thrilled to own this one.

So I thought I'd help explain why I wanted a nickel N frame 357, as if one needs a reason. She borrowed some cokes from a sibling (44 HE who has been on the forum before.), so she could pose with her sisters. (Who look like a little Filz wouldn't hurt them either). Thanks for letting me share, and for teaching me about things I didn't know I needed until I started hanging out with this bunch. The 19 in the front was my first handgun back in 1976.

That's a dandy. You and your Grand kids can enjoy that one.
I picked up a blue 6" Model 19 today to replace the one I gave my Son about a year ago. I think my Grand son might enjoy it one of these days.

Outstanding and looks geat with your grips! Yeah, it was a bit dirty when he first showed it to me but seemed, from my limited knowledge, like it'd make the right person very happy. Glad you like it, I hope you get to enjoy it for a looong time!

Just out of curiosity, do you know the day it shipped in April of 1955?

Sorry, don't know the day it shipped, but my birthday is in the first few days of May, so it couldn't be more than a few weeks off. I'll likley letter this one to find an exact date.
