2 Aquired at a gun show
I went to a show today with the good intentions of selling off some duplicates. So much for my plans.
First is a 1905 4th change target model #330003 that is mechanically sound but a little cosmetically challenged. Frame has no stampings.
The other is a regulation police in 38 S&W #38212 in remarkably good condition given its age. The recoil shield shows no wear so it saw little or no use. This is my first I frame so I'm looking for a tutorial.
All s/n's, including grips, match on both revolvers.

I love the serial number on the target, but it would appear it has been re-barreled. Is the serial number on the bottom of the bbl. a match? There should be a very small B well in front of the number. Big Larry

All numbers match and the B is there. I've been told that the nickel content in the frame has a lot to do with how well the finish is retained.

When you come across a couple guns like that, such a plan should be abandoned. I think you did very well to buy that pair.

Someone explain the odd trigger on the target model. Look at the top front of that trigger!

Looks like a former owner had the trigger ground down. May have had a big trigger finger.

My guess for the M&P target is 1919 and 1928-29 for the RP.
