You and me both! No reason it shouldn’t shoot well but I am hoping to get some range time with it this weekend.

LOL.......I admit, I would be uneasy within 100 yds with Jethro pointing that at me across the "ceeement pond" ...... doesn't mean I can't picture it under the seat of Jed Clampet's 1921 Olds Touring car; turned pickup ......... with Granny strumming one of Bert Reynolds favorite country songs on her banjo!!!!!

SOOOooooey!!!!

Well; lunch bucket is empty.... so........ back to the mines..........................hi ho, hi ho, its off to work I go....hi ho .........

If the pitting is bad,I would get it hard chromed, with a nice brushed finish. It will look like stainless. If the pitting isn't too bad, I'd send it out for a re-nickel

Who cares about pitting. If it shoots good, just keep oil on it. The OP got a great deal. If I would have bought it, clean, oil, shoot and clean.

I'd like your post twice if I could.

I would really like to replace the front sight and base. Looking for a blue/ black patridge or a king front wouldn’t be to shabby either.

If someone has one it would greatly help!

Took a while but I did eventually learn my lesson on "project guns." I would have walked right by this without a second look. Any money spent on it will be too much.

You are correct. I had read years ago, possibly in TV Guide, that it started out as a 1918. However, it now resides in the Ralph Foster Museum at the College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout MO. It is a 1921 Oldsmobile Model 46 roadster.

Clean,polish and shoot it.

Don't pour any more money into it.It's value will not increase and it won't shoot any better.

BTW,is there an N stamped on the frame under the grips?

Ditch the shoe!
