Two .357's I recently picked up
Top is a Non-Registered Magnum 4" with King ramp front sight that was one of the 26 guns in the last shipment to KCPD in 1940. Bottom is a 1955 vintage Pre-27 3 1/2"

When you "pick up" a couple guns you really pick some dandys!! Either one is something I would have to work at getting for monthes let alone bother in oNE swoop. Those are some fine pieces and with some King goodies to boot. Enjoy!!!

I had actually been trying to by the 1940 gun and couldn't come to terms with the seller. I then found the Pre-27 and bought it. A few days later the seller with the 1940 gun says he's reconsidered and will now accept my offer. I had to do some scraping and some creative horse trading to swing both of these within a week of each other.

You know how to horse trade. Fantastic pieces. I would love to get one of those NRM short barrels to go with my other .357s. Very nice work.

Well played. The old hard -to -get trick... Was the NRM listed on B.B. for a while?

Well played. With the acquisition of those two beauties, the next step is for you to join the SWCA and the SWHF...
In all seriousness, it would be wonderful to have you as a member so that you could bring those beauties to a Symposium for the some of us to see up close and personal.
Thanks again for sharing your treasures here on the forum!

I totally agree! I would be glad to work months (probably years) just to get a gorgeous 4" NRM, at that!
Two dandys, indeed! Very impressive OP!

Fantabulous pair you just happened to pick up! I could never choose between the two of them. You did very well in finding AND acquiring them. It's those times when I find myself scraping and horse trading, that I often look back a year or two later and think "Dang, I wish I still had that such & such gun." But in your case, you can always look back and say "I done good."
