1959 Model 27(no dash) 5" barrel
This 5" model 27(no dash)is NIB and is truly a beautiful specimen. I consider it to be the "Prize" of My S&W collection. Here are some photos of it:

I love it! Great barrel length. Doesn't appear to have been neglected. Congratulations!

Very nice, especially like those non-relieved diamond targets. You say NIB, did it come from the factory with those stocks? I thought those were from the early to mid 1950s and would not have been on a gun as late as 1959. Just curious about when the last of those non-relieved stocks were shipped. Beautiful stocks and gun. Enjoy.

According to the box, it came with target stocks. TS were seldom numbered to the gun.

Somebody sprung for the full Target option. Very cool. I would also like to know if those stocks were used that late. But this was a special order and maybe some non-relieved Targets were still setting on the parts shelf?

Very nice package
1959 is kinda late for non relieved targets which began to be supplanted by the football relieved targets starting around 1955,
While there are no absolutes with S&W IMO its more likely they were on another gun and got swapped at some point.

I'd be proud of that one, too. That's one that's on my bucket list, but the right one at the right time will come along.

Jeff:
Yes those target stocks were what had originally shipped on this 27.

Beautiful nickel 27 with it's complete package. I only have one other NIB nickel 27 but it's a dash 2.

Beautiful. Something on my wish list. An open spot in my collection I hope to fill soon. Need to get one before the prices get any higher.
