1917 from June 1918
I ran across this .45 last year at a small show and learned it had been shipped, like thousands of others, in June of 1918. It survived 100 years in pretty good shape. #66261

Very nice! She’s in good shape for being 100! My 1917 is about in the same condition and, I believe, has a centenary birthday coming up this July: #83613.

Thats a beauty.
It is amazing how many guns survive so long in such great shape. It is especially amazing with military weapons.

Very nice. As far as you know, are those the original stocks? Despite my best squinting, I can't see if the hammer is grooved.

The hammer isn't grooved. The right stock had a number written on it but it is long since gone. I have turned it every which way and illuminated it but can only see one stroke left in graphite. I have assumed they are native to the gun.

Very cool- I’m a big fan of the old large-frame wheelguns! Enjoy it
