You guys are killing me! I'm down to two K-22 Masterpiece revolvers, a 4 screw and a 3 screw. I no longer own any five screw K-22s and sold my only 1-liner from the '40s to a friend who wanted it worse than I did. (Gave him an excellent deal too!).
I guess I should go on the hunt again. The one shown by the OP has my mouth watering . . .

Don't you just love to shoot those older K22's. I had this one out yesterday, it amazes me how accurate it is. K166xxx from Jan. 1953

That one has PC grips. I don't think any of the K-series revolvers used those.

What are "PC grips"? When I got it there was newer magnas on it. I put these on because I thought they were correct. From what I can tell they are K frame with a 1962 serial number but there is no K stamped on the back.
EDIT: I see that means Plain Clothes with the rounded bottom. They fit good so they'll have to do. Better than the non-diamond magnas that were on it.

Correct. They normally came on fixed sight K frame revolvers. So far as I know, the only target sight guns they came on were the 2" Model 15 Combat Masterpiece revolvers.

Saw one yesterday that a private seller had. 6" barell, 95% on finish and excellent condition but no box o r papers. Was asking $700. Maybe I should have bought it (was tempted) but really want a Model 18.

Since I wanted it to shoot the heck out of, I was a little less discriminating on the condition. My 1948 vintage 5-screw probably gets shot more than anything else I currently own... congrats and enjoy!
