Default Mop & brush question

I have done some searching on this forum. I see lots of info about correct SATs. But, I cannot find any info about correct mops or brushes.
In some LNIB photos I see mops with longer mop portions and brass or aluminum cores. I have found "Pro Shot" brushes with brass cores and mops with brass cores. But, the mop portion seems short in comparison. I had posted a phot a while back of one of my toys in a presentation case and was told it was a rifle mop not a pistol mop.

Any photos out there of correct mops & brushes for the early post war guns?

Thanks.

Randy,

Here is a pic of the complete package for a 1955 gun.
The mop is long, but, I have little doubt as to it's being original as the provenance of the gun (original owner) would support my belief.

I was wrong before, but, only once.

I have two full kits that came with new S&W handguns i purchased. (The rest were all aquired preowned.

A nickle 29-2 / presentation boxed revolver has a shorter mop on brass, and the brush is on brass also. Purchased directly from S&W circa 1976.

A 39-2 purchased from a local dealer circa 1978 came with a longer mop on aluminum, and the brush is on aluminum.

The 29-2 mop is significantly shorter than the indentation in the presentation case.

(I'll try to post a photo I just took of the case with the tools inserted, and the 39-2 mop laying beside the 29-2 mop.) The 39-2 mop is to the right, and the 39-2 tools are in the factory plastic.
