A few years ago one of my cousins told me about stumbling on a wild sow and shoats in the barn at his hunting lease. He took the sow with two shots and heard the 6 shoats as he was reloading. He took 7 pigs with 8 shots. At the time, I thought he had a Model 28, because he said his gun was just like the one his brother has.
A couple of nights ago we were talking on the phone and I asked him if he still had it. He got it out and began describing it because it did not have a model number on it. By the time he gave me the serial number, I was pretty sure what it was. It seems his dad purchased the NRM and a 1911 from a co-worker. In the mid '70's, the NRM developed a slight timing problem and they sent it to Clark's Custom Guns (Jerry Miculek's in laws) for repair.
Great gun with family history. I put in a standing offer, but there's probably no chance. I hope he will letter it.
