Value of Fitz Target Grips
Looking at a mid-50s N frame that has a pair of Fitz target grips on it. Grips appear to be in excellent condition, no chips or scratches. The gun does not have the original grips available. Is there enough value to the Fitz grips to even out the value of the gun in question, or is the value diminished?
Thanks for any help you might offer.
Charlie

the wood Fitz grips aren't encountered too often and usually bring 60-75 in the target configuration shown. The "Combat" style are even more scarce and usually bring about double that quote.

I somehow acquired a set of wooden FITZ target grips for a K-frame. Rather than checkering though, they have a basket weave pattern. I have had a bit of a hard time warming up to them, even though they fit both my guns and my hand quite well. I had always thought that the finish had just dried out since the surface looks rather dull and dry, but I just found out recently that some were sold that way to prevent them being too slippery. Anyway, they may get used again soon... time will tell.
As for their value, I can't be much help. I probably got them in the early "Wild West" days of eBay for little or nothing. I'm positive I wouldn't have paid much for them back then.
