Default Regulation police

I acquired a Regulation Police at a small local gun show. It appears all original with grips numbered to gun. It doesn't look to be fired much but does have some finish wear. Serial #30399. Is this a pre model 33? I estimate the manufacture date as around 1933.

Think it’s older than you think, they did away with the “mushroom” knob on the ejector in 27,

Plus the stocks are 1920s style. It’s a few decades too early to label it pre-Model anything.

I looked for some dated examples for someone else and found some 24xxx specimen in later 1923. So 1925 - 1927 would be my wild guess.

It has the one line "made in USA" so it is after 1922. I appreciate the help.

Walt,

Extremely nice example.

I agree, likely from 1925.

If it has the 2nd style sidepalte mounted hammer block safety it's from after 1925.
