Default Pre Model 21 Front Sight

Dear Forumites, I recently was fortunate enough to acquire a pre model 21. Unfortunately, a previous owner filed on the front sight. I was thinking of having it reconfigured to the original half moon shape. Would one of you who owns one of these fine revolvers provide me with a tracing or the dimensions of the front sight so that whoever I find to restore it will have something to use as a template? I would also appreciate any recommendations for a craftsman who would be capable of doing this work if you have had similar work done on your firearms. Thank you!

What's your barrel length? Different lengths need different blade heights.

I am sorry, I should have included the barrel length. It has a 4 inch barrel. Thank you.

PM sent. I have one and will be glad to help you. I just measured the sight for Patrick and it is the same contour and thickness as a nickel in case someone else needs the size. I guess that's why I've heard them called half nickel sights. DUH. lee
