Nice! It shipped on the 15th anniversary of the attack on Pearl harbor. Too darn nice to shoot though. Your collection is awesome.

44 magnums started shipping in numbers about the 3rd quarter of 56. There were prototypes in 55 and a few shipped earlier in 56

I took the oath into Army two days before your 29 shipped.
I have a Model of 1955 45 cal that shipped that month.

That .44 is stunning. That is my next "grail" gun. I found me a mint pre-27, one day I'll find a pre-29 that I can afford. I hope it looks as nice as that one. Earl
