1926, nickel humpback, mis-marked on GB
I just won this 44. Got a bit of adrenaline coursing right now. Pretty psyched. I have wanted a pre war 3rd for a decade.

I will letter this for sure.

Congratulations!!!! What a find. No wonder you're "Beagleye"!! They mislabeled that one for sure, and with all those photos, the caliber was right there on the barrel. Good job!! (Although I do see that they went in later and semi corrected the information).
Best Regards, Les

Congratulations!
You'll probably want to find some period correct grips, but that's more than offset by the Humpback hammer!

Excellent catch and a great buy!! I must of looked at it half a dozen times and never caught. Of course all I use is a tablet with a screen that's not too big. But it was on my watch list for awhile. Can't wait to hear more about it once you get it!!!

Seller noticed the mistake 7/21 and added the info. It already had a bid and he couldn't change the title.

And, maybe the humpback should have been in title. I doubt people would search for that term, but it might have caught some ones eye. It will be a nice beside my 6.5" transitional. And potentially a nice woods carry gun, since it has a good bit of wear.

That's a prize!
Can't wait to see it cleaned up and polished to bring the nickel back to life.
Good eye Beagleye!

I appreciate you not pushing any further than you did. I was prepared to go higher and glad I didn't have too. I am surprised it didn't go higher and out of my range. With better grips and a proper advert, I suspect it would have left me in the dust. But hopefully, just like my land, I'll never know how much it's worth. A 3rd model is a keeper in my mind.

Pete,
It would have looked great next to my 4" nickle 3rd with humpback hammer and pre-war magnas. I agree it should have gone for more. I figured I didn't want to get in a P-ing contest over it with anyone
I picked up a 1899 in beautiful shape on Friday and figured I would make do with that.
Enjoy it. It will shine up like new.
