Exciting New Book on S&W Engraving
An exciting new book on S&W engraving is coming in September! It will feature over 1400 beautiful color photographs of engraved S&Ws from antiques to modern firearms. The book is authored by Mike Kennelly, life member of the S&WCA, and collector of engraved post-war ".357" Magnum revolvers. Mike spent over eight years researching the material for this book. Most of the engraved S&W firearms featured in this book are owned by members of the S&WCA.
If you are interested in engraved S&W firearms, or just want a one of a kind book for your reference library, this is the one to have.
See the advertisement below (click on it for a better look).

I just ordered mine.
As I type this, there are only 2 of the leather bound editions left!
You better hurry!
NOTE that the books won't ship till September. They don't charge your card till they ship.

Engraved 1918
Here's a type-2 1918 engraved model of 1905 4th change I had letter'd. Let it go for a '43 Colt 1911.

There are some guns featured in the book that were not engraved by factory engravers and not engraved by an engraver for Smith & Wesson (i. e. contract engraved). These guns are identified and feature some of the best engraving seen on a S&W firearm.

It would have taken a crowbar, and someone pointing the business end of a loaded "'43 Colt 1911" at me for me to have turned that one loose. Looks like a real beauty.

It was but had a cracked grip frame. I wasn't too sure of it's value in that condition. I was concerned with that condition. I let it go.

To order from their website, click on Books, then sort by Newness. The S&W book will come up at the top of the list.
