Default Body Guard Airweight old carry piece

Considerable carry wear, mechanically great.

Some one goobered the original grips by removing the checkering and making some sort of black leather insert.

It was priced very reasonable, and appealed to me as being a 1950s pocket rocket.

I need some worn stag grips I guess.

Serial number 7434x

Yessir, that one has been fired! And I'm guessing it is good to fire a lot more rounds too! I've seen a lot of things done to grips, but the leather insert is a first for me! Looks like they did a fair job of it. That one will definitely make a dandy pocket rocket, and I agree that a set of similarly worn stags would look pretty good on that old girl! I think you've got a dandy there, especially if the price was right! Maybe even if it wasn't!!!

Stag stocks and may be a Berns Martin holster, or similar.

I think that the customized grips are rather interesting. I have never seen any like that before.

Perhaps "goobered" is a bit harsh...?

I cant say that i have seen anything like the leather inserts myself.

What is interesting to me is how well those skinny original stocks fit my medium size hand. The Old piece shoots to POA at 7 yards with my wadcutter handloaded.

Palm size groups if I do my part.

Not that I would ever do it, but I like the grips. Part of the history on an old workhorse like that.
And congrats, one of my grail guns is a well worn but not abused snubby from January 1960.
