2" M&P long action box
Been looking for a box for my M&P 2" long action shipped 12-1947. Would this be the standard gold box? My K22 was shipped 9-47 and is in a gold, numbered to the gun, box. Thanks, Big Larry

Generally, that's where I find good boxes, but I need to know which one is correct. Thanks, Big Larry

Well I'm no expert, but I have seen post war long action M&Ps in original gold boxes, so I think it would pass. j-pack should know for sure, somebody do the j-pack summoning incantation. "ABRACA-POSTWARTRANSITIONAL!" Maybe he'll show up now.

Thanks for that. My chances of finding a minty box for my revolver are slim at best, but as collectors know, the boxes are generally beat to heck and the gun inside, minty. Big Larry

I got the auctioned box for a tad over $200. Best part, it still has the original wax paper in it as does my K22 LERK. A set of tools? Maybe $20. Big Larry
