Default Finally got my Pre 27 5"

I've been looking for a Pre 27 with 5 inch barrel for some time and finally was able to pick one up.

Truly a masterpiece of the heyday of firearms manufacturing. Serial No. 1623XX

Now to get the letter.

That's one of my favorite guns. It's really tough to beat a 5" ejector shroud N frame in my opinion. I have a couple 5" 27's myself

Absolutely. The balance on it is perfect and it has an incredibly smooth action.

RCL-09,

Don't forget that the "S" prefix is also part of the serial number.
