Early post war K22
Found this K22 at a small gun show in far North WI. The owner had no idea what it was, just an old 22. When I saw the 4 digit Sn.K 4802, I knew I had to have it. For $700. I couldn't pass it up.

Appears to be a one line LERK. Seems to be too shiny to me. Mine is # 4339. Shipped 9-23-1947. Big Larry

Looking at that logo, the pins, knife sharp edges, and the other clean stampings, that gun has never seen a buffing wheel or sandpaper and I don't think it was refinished. If you use oil on your guns, they will shine, much more than wax.

Boy, what a rip off, you really got taken. I feel so bad for you that if you send me the gun I will give you your money back. I just hate it when dealers take advantage of the public....

Gary, Your right. I do oil many of my guns, and this one has not been refinished.

Not to have meant refinished. Just looked like a optional factory high polish of the day.
I do not oil my guns. They are all Ren Waxed. Oil is for cars.
Nice gun too. I have had mine for many years and have never fired it. It's in its numbered box with vapor paper and tools. I have other shooters. Big Larry

My opinion is that Ren wax is for museums, so there!!!!
I have oiled guns for 50 years and have yet to find anything wrong with the process. Some have been stored in gun safes for years with no problems, but I use almost all mine and the wax disappears after the barrel gets warm, while oil does not.
I have waxed many a gun, but with oil, I know it is there or not, with wax not so much and I have a terrible memory . . . so . . .??

Gary, I have 171 guns of all types. I used to use silicone rags on them, but I like the Ren Wax on my non shooters. Yes, it is a museum quality wax, but then, some of my guns are museum quality. Big Larry
