Picked this up at the Gunshow this weekend.
.38 Regulation Police, 4 digit serial number, shipped Nov 1917. All original finish. Has a few surface scratches here and there, but appears to have been fired very little, if any. Just had to show it off. I just wish it had included the original box. Hard to believe it survived in this condition all these years without a box to protect it.

I feel the need to inject a new term -
Photos #3&4 are the best examples of "knurling porn" I have ever seen.
Great photos of an amazingly pristine revolver. Wow.

You hit a home run with that purchase, beautiful finish for a revolver that old.

It probably lived in something better than a cardboard box.
In a rug or sock or towel.

Terrific score! Congratulations. I love those early RPs in both .32 and .38.

I seldom see old guns in that condition. I hope it didn't cost you your shooting arm to get it.

Excellent gun, must have been kept in a sock drawer. Mine is a little more worn.
