The 27-2 is little more than a grandchild by comparison but it has the benefit of all of the improvements handed down through the generations that preceded it.
Much like the children of today, bright as they may be they will not have their metal tested by the fires of adversity such as the generations that preceeded them.

When these discussions come up regarding RMs vs anything else, I often think of the old Packard ads...
Ask the man who owns one...
Nothing against a 27-2 (or variant), or a Python, or Shooting Master, etc., all are good for what they are, but it just ain't the same...
The original is still the best!
