Can you tell identify this target stocks ?
The seller said they came with an early 50’s K-38, and he is left handed.
Could they be Sanderson Stocks ?
Sorry for the garbeled thread title. I am on the smart phone.

To me, they kind of have a Herrett's look about them. The flared base with the pronounced ring at the bottom doesn't look like any Sandersons I have, or have seen. Checkering is a little too good at the edges for Sanderson as well.

As said above I don’t think they are Sandersons but there were a lot of very skilled craftsmen who would make one off target stocks for their own personal guns, which is likely what you have. Either way they look to be very nice and if they fit your hand well enough I would leave them on the gun they came with.

I recall seeing a few pair of grips resembling these in the last couple years.
The K written in pencil at that spot and the way the k is done is very familiar to me to other grips I have looked at.
I think they were made by someone who sold grips.
Sure look well made and present well.

Not sandersons, if they were you would have numbers stamped inside.
I don't know who made them but i think I have a couple sets from the same maker in my stock box. They are pretty nice.

Being left handed the thumb rest on the left panel has been a bargaining point for me. Often a seller will reduce the price a good bit if he gets to keep a nice set of RH target grips (stocks).
