Default .pre war .38 RP

Just got done cleaning my new to me .38 Regulation police serial #7103. I talked about it earlier this week in a post and was told that #6000 through #10000 do not show up very often. I think this one is from about 1919 and has its original nickel finish and penciled in right grip original grips. I got a really good deal on it and there was some rust bubbling up under grips and a few spots of erosion in barrel nothing too bad looking. Looks like maybe somebody shot it with black powder rounds when itwas new or just did not clean it well with just specks of corosion peppered around cylinder and forcing cone. I cleaned it all up best as I could and think it will be fine. I cant wait to get it out to shoot some 38 S&W rounds. I got some of the best pictures I could indoors at night of nickel. I will have to try to get some better pics this weekend.

She's a beauty!

Mother's Mag Wheel polish for any blackened areas showing where nickel is missing.

I show one in the 66xx range which shipped in 4/1918. But shipping of civilian guns was chaotic during WWI, so it is possible it shipped after Armistice Day.

A few more pictures, this one is really hard to photograph. I like this little gun, my FFL said it looks like a little toy. I sure wouldnt want to be on the recieving end of this lttle toy.
