Full disclosure, it arrived with these ivories . Oddly enough, my oldest daughter, who hates MOP with a passion, liked these.

That's a sweetheart. I like the ivories, too, for occasional barbecues.

Two of my earliest 32s were 6” I-frames. A nickel and a blue Regulation Police. At first, they seemed a little gawky looking with those long barrels, but they are actually pretty useful and can give good accuracy with that long sight radius. Congrats on a great find.

Froggie

PS Love those ivories... they would look great on my post-War 32 snub!

I have an older 4" with about 20% original finish that rides perfectly in the leg pocket of my overalls and kills at least one Armadillo (usually more) a week . It's tight but ugly as sin and sure would look better with these grips if you decide to part with them at some point .

They are a blast to shoot, and accurate. Not hard to load for either. Mine is from the mid 20's. I added some longer target stocks as I have XXXL hands.

That looks great. I have only slightly larger than average hands and when I was experimenting with grips for my I-frames I discovered a discontinued pattern from defunct grip maker, Mustang. They can best be described as a hybrid between factory Target grips (J-frame type) and the later smooth, finger groove combat style. Reading this, they sound like they would have been ugly, but they enclose the grip frame and nicely balance against the long barrel to both handle and carry well. Wish I hadnít let a friend talk me out of them!

Wow! I love to see a 32 HE with a long snoot. It simply cries out "Let me show you how I can shoot!." Where are the groups for wadcutters and round noses and handloads with 3 gr Universal and 95 grain cast SWCs? And what velocity do you get with factory ammo out of the 6-inch? I would leave the inscribed ivories on all the time, and dream about using it to pick up chicks at the range.

I must confess, I love .32s.
.32 S&W Long is so cheap to load, and so accurate and soft shooting.
Like a .22 LR for adults.
Plus, Buffalo Bore loads ammo for it that actually makes it a viable SD round.
I just wish they'd get hold of those SJHP bullets Magtech uses and load them to Buffalo Bore velocities.

That's a real peach!

Here's a tatty blue one from 1924. I like the 6" barrels a lot.
