Ivory Mystery Grips, mystery solved
I had these mystery grips posted in the classifieds, and thanks to "austintexas" who suggested that they might be for a centennial, the mystery was solved. I had never considered they might fit a centennial because I equate the centennials only with the high horn grips.
Dug my centennial out of the safe and they fit well and look really good to me. Last month at the Colorado Gun Collectors Show, I must have shown these grips to 50 exhibitors and no one could identify them. Here are a few photos.

They look to fit the gun nicely, I like them. Very swanky back in the day, and still a nice look to this day. Sure won't hurt the value of gun none.

Gary,
I was so tempted to buy those from you and either take a chance or refit them to one of my Ladysmith .22s.
Glad you figured it out.

Chris,
I had thought to do the same, in fact I had the Ladysmith stock pattern marked on back of these at one time, trouble was the the stock pin hole had to be filled and re-drilled and I was still not sure about the stock screw clearance. Plus the fact that they were just too darn pretty to mess with.

Personally I think you did the right thing and put them where you did. Very classy little rig.
I have a pair of nicely yellowed ivory stocks on a snub noised masterpiece that on first blush appeared to be ivory, but failed the red hot poker test...sadly, but in the end are good to go for the intended use and still look fantastic to the uninitiated.

That's just a fine-looking matchup. Perfect for a black tie barbecue
