Default And after a little tweaking....

... the earliest known Regulation Police Target is ready for the range.

You may recall when I posted this previously, it was missing a front sight. Thanks to George in SD who had an early I frame target blade, ,the gun is now complete.
The red handles in the black package are diamond micro files which are really necessary for this job. Available from Ram Rodz.

Great to see this gun up and back to what it was from the factory.

I am curious how easy was it to push that really old pin out to replace the blade?

Also were you able to reuse the same pin?

I bought my set in 1974, and I've used them about twice a month, ever since. The Dremel tool get one use a month. This ratio keeps projects from becoming a mess! My files are Italian, and in a red plastic folder. I think I paid $5.99. I was 18, dad thought I lost my mind! I guess I'm averaging a half cent per usage!

Brownells has cup tip punches that are an exact fit. Tap, tap tap and out it comes.

Yes, it's quite snug. Just don't make the hole in the blade too big
