Default Nickel plating method used by S&W ?

Did a search but the answer didn't come up. Did S&W use electroplating or electroless (sulfide) nickel plating? I see that they did not use a copper flash coat, which ever method they used.

I do not know the exact Ni plating process, but it was electrolytic, not electroless (at least for the earlier ones - no idea if S&W does electroless today). Indeed S&W did not use a copper undercoat, they plated directly on steel. Colt did use a copper undercoat.
