Nice looking post war Heavy Duty! And a proper selection of stocks for it. I like the smooth elk grips on it myself.

One of things Ive done over several months is pick up some of the diamond grips for 47 to 67
era grips. Some grubby and better ones finish wise. I have found acetone strip and using amber shellac
to give the blonde new appearance you see in the pics that appeals to me personally.
Just sharing the way I tried to get that grip
finish.
Any questions you have pm me..
Thanks for looking..

N frame .38 spl, 4" barrel, ejector rod shroud, fixed sights, round front sight. I may be mistaken, but isn't this the ONLY S&W with ALL of those EXACT specs. All the others that look identical are .44 spl and outside my $ range. I decided I like the stag best on my recent acquisition. Your HD looks especially nice !!

Default Recent HD finds

This is one of my most recent purchases, a HD with 5" barrel, all matching numbers that left the factory in the summer of 1931.

Looking forward to shooting it in the not to distant future.

I've also got its younger brother. This HD has a 4" barrel and left the factory in either 1946 or 47, can't remember exactly. I've heard 4" barrels were not too common but by no means rare.
