Talking Hand 1917

Try Gun Parts Corp/ Numrich then go to S&W, then 1917. Or go to Brownells in Iowa and seek what you need. I believe MidwayUSA may have the oversize hands, in any case it will need fitting. Hope this helps!

You may also want to try Jack First (search on "Jack First Gun Parts"). I don't see a hand pawl on their website but they say call and ask since they have many parts that aren't listed.

Welcome to the Forum.

Do you still have the hand that came with the revolver? If so, what is wrong with it? Please tell us what is wrong and we may be able to brainstorm the problem. Sometimes, everything is there, but just not assembled correctly.

A good friend of mine is a factory trained armorer, he can weld up and re-heat treat parts that wear and are no longer available. That option is always available and in many cases will be the only way things can get repaired when they are longer available. He did some work on my Brazilian Model of 1917 to straighten the yoke and work out a timing issue, all while shortening the barrel and installing a Baughman style front sight. He works out of his house where he has converted a two car garage into his workshop, tidy and clean.

Try George Dye at 205-502-2026 (Salt Lake Collectibles) or
Lee's Gun Parts 972-790-0773.
