My new Pre-Model 18 K22 Masterpiece
I just picked up this sweet little shooter grade K-22 4” this afternoon. The blueing is distressed some on and around the side plate, but all numbers match including the grips. Mechanically sound too, I think she’s going to make a great shooter. I’ve been looking for one so I’ll have a .22 other than my Mark II for the daughters to shoot. K136168 s/n puts it right at the end of 1951/beginning of 1952. Oh, and I got her for $400.

I hope you were wearing your robbers mask when you "purchased" that sweet looking wheel gun because you didn't "buy" it you stole it.
Around here that piece would have gone for $700 + easily. Happy shooting.

Even with the blueing loss? It looks worse in the picture than it is. It looks almost like something caustic was spilled on, then wiped off taking the blueing with it. Got a holster with it too. I’d describe it as a lined “cavalry” holster with a snapped flap. Made by Brauer Bro’s.

Ain't much for looks, but they're fun guns to shoot. Enjoy it.

They are a ball to shoot, congratulations on a nice find!
Like you, I stole mine from a local pawn shop, the guy thought something was jammed or broken inside and gave me a great deal. As it turns out it was just filthy! Gummed up inside something awful from all the nasty 22 ammo and nobody cleaned it. A little elbow grease and she’s a great shooter, enjoy yours!
