Default 2 Victories and 2 British Service Revolver

I needed to do some work on my Victory Navy model today. The cylinder extractor and rod were all gummed up from decades of old grease.

So, when finished, I thought I'd take a quick photo of the 4 "Victories" I own.

Top is the Navy model that shipped to Norfolk, VA in 1942.

Next down is a Victory that shipped to Hoboken, NJ in 1942 to the United States Maritime Commission. This one has no proof marks of any kind. The forcing cone on this was cut at an angle at the factory, so one side has a lot more cylinder gap then the other. It sure makes a lot of noise and thows a bit of a flame out the left side, but it's accurate.

Next down is a 38/200 British Service Revolver (Pre-Victory) still in 38 S&W caliber. It shipped in 1940.

Bottom is a British "Victory" that shipped in 1944. It too is still in the 38 S&W caliber. After the WWII it spent some time with the German Police in Luneburg, as it is marked on the back strap "Lun. 76". At some point after it was sold on the commercial market, it was poorly reblued, but thank goodness the person who did the job didn't buff any of the markings off.

That's a very good looking U.S. Navy.

I hope you didn't remove any of it's original grease thus detracting from it's value!
