One I wish I still had............
Here's an M&P example I sold a few years ago when I decided to try to focus more closely on M1917 and 38spl Victory examples and those variants built on actual M1917 and Victory model frames.
I just happened across pics of it while perusing pics of some of my other revolver examples and couldn't help but feeling a little nostalgic...…...and wishing now that I had kept it!
It's nothing too rare or unusual, but it made me stick a fat lip out in sadness none-the-less.

That was a nice one! Shame it moved on but this example is the exact reason I have never ever sold any guns. I know the OP would like to buy my SV m&p 38 but I hold on to all of them with my dear life. I guess some day will come to sell off a few, not now though. I have read way too many posts of fellas with sellers remorse.

Now yer just toying with me.
Rarely do I have seller's remorse with regards to selling, as I rarely sell them. Occasionally I thin out the herd for one reason or another but usually after much consideration as to not wanting it due to one reason or another. (And then thinking about it multiple times before doing so...…)
For some reason this revolver just just struck me as a "I probably should have kept it" item. I was thinking about giving it to my father at one point, but then a slightly nicer 5" came along that was actually his birthyear so I gave him that instead...….and then decided to part with this one.
Every time I look at those diamond magnas I hurt a little more inside.

I had a couple of nice ones like that in 4" and 5" that I sometimes regret selling, but feel better knowing I sold them to a member here!

I’ll give you an internet social distance hug. Now go out there and find a better one! I love em too. Can you see some of mine in my thread today?

I've seen lots of nice examples today.
The fellow in the "need help" thread that was gifted the Registered Magnum really got me on a tangent though!

I picked up one from 1951 several years back and it will stay with me until I am gone. I can understand your desire to have it back for sure. Would not want this one to get away.

I had a happy ending with this one. I sold it to buy some early Smith & Wesson paper. I got the opportunity last June to trade for it. I had the last, (by factory letter), Model 53 made and shipped. I did the trade. Why would I trade the 53 for a 2" Pre Model 43, one that no one knew existed until I found it in a gun shop in 1980? It letters to "Dan Wesson Smith & Wesson Superintendent".

I let go of a 4” 686 no dash I wish I hadn’t now. It shot fine but the cylinder was out of line slightly. It would tick a range rod on every chamber. I should have fixed it.

Oh don’t be sad, never regret something that once made you happy, I’m pretty sure you will find a very nice one or even maybe this one with a bit of luck, who knows ?! Anyway, I wish it goes back to you some day.
Big hug

I have never had, nor do I really understand, “sellers remorse”. Maybe it is one of those touchy feely expressions. In order for you to have purchased that revolver, someone had to sell it. When you purchased it, you were happy to add it to your collection. Let others have the same joy.

When I was young I had very little extra money. When I wanted a new gun I usually had to trade in another one to be able to afford it. I went through quite a lot of very nice firearms during that period before I reached a point where I did not have to lose a gun to get one.
P.S.
"touchy feely"?

National Match Garand and Model 29
Sold a inheritance M1 National Match to fund my sons tuition bill. Bought it back over 10 years later for the same money.
My brother and I inherited some firearms. I got the rifles, since he was retired NYPD It was easier for him to get the pistols. He already gave me dads Colt mkIV Seres 70. I declined the 6 inch Nickel 29 because it was unloved by the family and I wanted him to have the money. I should have taken it, shot it more, thought about selling it after a few years. I’d prob still have it

Yep, been there, done that. First firearm I bought was a Colt 1860. I was not yet in my teens. The gentleman selling it was an older man. Perhaps 60, maybe 70. He had a price in mind. So did I and they were not close about 20% difference. We dickered for many weeks over that revolver. Nothing special, just a common as mud Colt 1860. Long story short, I bought it, not at my price but not at his. I shot it in competition and eventually picked up a mate for it. Both gone now to a couple of teen agers who are starting to appreciate firearms and history.
Kevin
touchy feely. The only psycho babble I know.
