Registered Magnum - Happy 83rd Birthday... a few Days Late
On June 17, this 7" Registered Magnum (REG 2329) turned 83. A slightly late happy birthday to my most complete RM package...
She's in pretty good shape for an 83 year old.
Thanks for letting me share.

Reason: She’s a 7” gun not a 7.5”er...

I was working from memory that she was a 7.5” barreled gun, but I just looked back at the certificate and was reminded that she is really a 7” barreled RM (I corrected it in my original post). My memory is not what it used to be... and it was never that good in the first place.

I am checking the penal code right now because it must be illegal for one person to own more than one RM.

Great RM. I enjoyed seeing it when you brought it to the S&WCA symposium In Tucson a few years ago.

Great Memory! I'm not sure how you could remember my one RM, when that Ray Cheely collection of 50 or so was taking up a whole wall. What fun memories of a great symposium.

Richard,
Isn't that 7" barrel kinda rare? You say it is your most complete package. Are you actually missing anything? GREAT, AMAZING, AWESOME, TERRIFIC, FANTASTIC, SUPERB, FABULOUS, STUNNING, STUPENDOUS, MAGNIFICENT, EXTRAORDINARY.......have I left any descriptive words out? Thanks for sharing such a gem.
Larry

What, no certificate mailing tube? Well Richard, since it’s not really a “complete” package, I’ll take it off your hands. PM coming.

Roy Jinks estimates that there were approximately 72 RMs that shipped with a 7” barrel - so I like the term “kinda rare”.
As Terry noted, this package is missing the mailing tube for the certificate. But other than that, it is fairly complete and most of the items were with the gun when it came to me. I know I added the SAT (screwdriver) and maybe one or two pieces of paper, but I believe (But can’t prove) that the rest of the package are items that originally shipped with the RM, or in the case of the certificate, were received by the original owner shortly after purchase.
It is a fun gun and a cornerstone for my 357 Magnum collection.

Terry, my 7"er RM is a nice package, but not near as nice as your Leo Rice 4.5"er...
(source: Leo H. Rice’s 1st Year 4.5” Consecutive Reg# RM Matched Pair )
...that came with the certificate AND all the goodies AND a WHOLE 'NOTHER CONSECUTIVE NUMBERED 4.5" BARRELED RM WITH A CERT AND ALL THE GOODIES...
