Default Purchased my first set of Coke Bottle stocks...

They came mounted on this 5-screw Pre-29.

I now see what all of the fuss is about - they feel great in my hand, and look amazing, if I do say so myself. I won the .44 Magnum on GunBroker, about three weeks ago, and just picked it up from the FFL today. This may be my new favorite S&W.

When you buy a set of grips, it's good to have a "spacer" in place to keep the grips from warping. You got a great set of grips and an OUTSTANDING spacer!

Those are gorgeous. Your gun reminded me instantly of one of the two "Point Blank" Model 29s a kid inherited from Lee Marvin. Your grips are prettier, though. Check it out...

Great article about Lee Marvin's "Point Blank" 4" Model 29.

Gorgeous!
Should you shoot it, you'll really notice the difference between cokes and later grips.

My Cokes only cost three bucks....because someone grinded off the bottom. Right through the checkering and man were they ugly. But they felt great so I had them redone. I was told they are, or were cokes on this forum but didn't know it when I got 'em. They are now perfect "boot Coke" grips. Pictured on this forum often.

I like them.

I have two sets of Cokes.
One set came on my 6.5" 1964 M29-2. (top)
I recently purchased a mint set for my 6.5" 1960 M27.

This is the set I just bought. They look brand new.

Just got a notice from Altimont that they are about to have Coke Bottle Grips back in Stock soon. Not the same as the original, but also not as nearly expensive.

I like them also, no other factory stock works as well in my hand. As an alternative John Culina will custom fit his Coke profile square butt N frame stocks to your hand, this used to pertain to a square butt conversion on a round butt frame as well. Nothing fits my hand better than his stocks.

That might be the coolest 58 I ever seen. I’m probably the only guy on this forum who prefers the 2nd Model Hand Ejector .44s with the exposed extractor rod. I like it on your gun, too.

No you ain't the only guy, I prefer the 2nd Model H.E. .44 over the rest...we are probably a small group of people with a proper degree of good taste. I think they also balance better. Heres mine:

Cokes are awesome.

I have 1 set of real Cokes, which came on me pre 29, and a set of Eagle repros which are almost as good but not 100%.

Since I suspected my real Cokes were refinished at some point (and not too well) I figured I couldn't do any harm by doing a proper refinish. I posted a thread back in March. I'm doing this from my phone otherwise I'd find and paste the link.

Gorgeous grips and revolver too. My latest acquisition is always my favorite as well. That is until another comes along that bites me.
