We need the serial number off of the butt. Caliber helps too.
Roughly, it dates to 1917-1927.

The grips are from the 1920s. Does it even have a serial number?

It looks like it is wearing extension grips which are covering up the SN on the butt. The OP could look under the barrel or the face of the cylinder for the SN.

It looks like a .32 regulation police. If so the serial number will be located on the front of the grip. Looks like it is pretty nice condition and in all original condition from sometime in early 1920's.

Yes, that's true. But I would have thought that the OP would have seen the number there. If it's regular 32 hand ejector , the number will be inside the grip on the butt. It should be in the 300 XXX to 450xxx range.
